ふわふわとした幸せ。

この間ずっとホットケーキにはまってた私が、先週旧正月お祝いでいとこにピノキオの分厚いホットケーキを見せたら

 

「うわ！激美味そう！！」と言われて二人でキャキャしてたね。

 

こういうものシンガポールでも売れてるのかなーと思って、ネット上で調べたら勧められてるお店が思ったより多かったね。

 

ということで、今日はいとこと二人でホットケーキ探検だった！

 

 

待ち合わせの時間より15分早めに着いたので地下で何気なくぶらぶらしてたけど、

 

素敵なロケ地発見！！ｗ 

 

to satisfy my recent craving for pancakes... here i've came, to a place in town.

 

but what an incidental find! a little cottage in a mall!

 

 

 



なにこれ！まじ綺麗！シンガポールにもこんなところがあるんだなんて夢にも思わなかった！

しかも室内！！大喜び　←レイヤの発言ｗ

perfect for a photoshoot.

 

 

 

 

美術を中心としたコンセプトで建てられたモールだと聞かれたんだけど、まさかこんな素敵だとは思わなかった。

 

正直びっくりしたねｗ

 

you'll never expect to sight such pockets of beauty in today's contemporary malls.

 

truly a great surprise it is..

 

 

 



その美しさに、個性的なお店もいくつあったね。

この「Cacao7」という炭水化物の少ないチョコを売ってるというお店、みたいな。

amongst the lovely setups, there were some really unique shops around too.

this "Cacao7" prides itself on its low-carb chocolates.

本日の目的地を紹介しよう：いとこに勧められた Dean & DeLuca！ 

 

now that we had a long appetizer...

 

heres the main dish: Dean & DeLuca!

 

 

 

 

 

 食料品のお店の付いてるカフェみたいなところで　アメリカンカントリーブレックファストをはじめ、

 

ハンバーグ、ラザニア、サラダ等のメインが売れてる一方、

 

ショットブレッド、スコーン、タルト、マフィン、ケーキ、ワッフル等々いろいろ売れてるんだｗ

 

見るだけで唾が出てきちゃう！

 

apart from their American Country Breakfast, Dean and Deluca also sells hamburgers, lasagna, salads,

as well as shortbread, waffles, tarts, muffins, cakes and waffles to satisfy both sweet and savoury tastebuds!



 

 

 

 

美味しそうなものあまりにも多かったか、選択するのがかなり時間かかったね。

 

みんなもそうだ。

ひどーく思い悩んでから選らんだのはこれ！

 

レッドヴェルベットケーキ ☆　　人生初！（マジｗ） 

 

after much debating, we went for the Red Velvet Cake!

 

the first in my life.

 

 

 

  

 



 

 クリームチーズとチョコレートで作れたケーキでビートルートの色で赤に染められたんだという。

食べた感想は？　　　・・・微妙。

チーズは普通だがチョコの味は浅すぎて、三つ目のレイヤーまで食べると苦味が出てくる。

あれって苦いチョコか焼きすぎたのかわからない。とにかく残念。

though its made of cheese and chocolate and dyed a deep maroon-red by beetroot,

the taste of the cake didn't do justice to its looks.

cheese was normal, while the chocolate was very mild.

as you hit the bottom layer, a rush of bitterness hits your palate.

i wonder if its bitter chocolate or the cake's burnt... ><

４枚重ねのパンケーキにフレッシュクリームがたっぷりのが売り。

 

クリームとお供のイチゴ、ブルーベリーとラズベリーは甘いほうでパンケーキは逆にしょっぱい。

 

けど！これこそで味がぴったり！！

 

量も多かったので二人で分けるとちょうどいいｗ　わぃー　満足したゎｗｗ

 

やっぱこういう数枚重ねのふわふわとしたやつがお気に入り ♪

 

4-layered stack of pancakes topped with fresh cream with bits of raspberries, blueberries and strawberries.

 

comes served in refillable maple syrup!

 

though the cream and berries were sweet while the thick fluffy pancakes were salty, they were a splendid match~

 

the portion was large enough for two. these stacked carbs are still my fav! (for now =3)
